On discharge from hospital when you are advised to attend your own doctor's surgery for the removal of stitches or a change of dressing, an appointment has to be made with the district nurse through our reception.
Emergency Out-Of-Hours Service - Local Care Direct
Tel: (01924) 784200 - 6.00pm to 8.00am
We provide an out-of-hours emergency service for any urgent medical problem that cannot wait until the next surgery. This is provided by Local Care Direct (LCD). When we are closed our answering machine tells you to call the LCD Emergency Care Centre (01924) 784200. The service will provide cover overnight, at weekends (after surgery closes) and bank holidays.

NHS Direct can be contacted 24 hours per day on 0845 4647 or via their website
www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk, if you or a relative or friend has a health problem or concern. When you call NHS Direct you will speak to a trained nurse who will ask you a series of straightforward questions and then offer you advice as to what you should do.
Access to the Surgery
The health centre has been adapted with the disabled in mind. There is a disabled toilet suitable for wheelchairs.
